As someone who didn’t have the luxury of a digitised referencing software in the past, I must say I’m very impressed with this one. I haven’t tried any others, but I can say that this has made my life infinitely easier in the first few months, and I suspect will continue to do so.

You can buy the software at the link below, but check with your IT department. I discovered Deakin had student licences for this and office which helped a great deal.

In the example below I’m showing a screenshot of the first few entries I’ve made. I love how you can attach and view PDFs in situ. I’m trying my best to remain diligent in the capture and logging of reference material to assist later on down the track.

The only odd things were nuances around formatting for authorship (I hadn’t realised you need a new line per author for the software to ¬†conjugate correctly, so I need to go back and rectify this, but it’s not the biggest deal in the world so early on at least).
